Obituary of Margaret C. DuPont

Margaret (Peg) Carey DuPont, 95, Philadelphia, a native of Holyoke, MA, was devoted to her children and was an avid card and Scrabble® player; lifelong Boston Red Sox fan and longtime Philadelphia Eagles fan. She loved the ocean and the shore and enjoyed decoupage and creating framed commemorative invitations with pressed flowers. She cherished her home of more than 50 years in Huntingdon Valley, PA, and having the windows open in the spring to hear the sound of children playing outside. Margaret is predeceased by her parents Patrick and Catherine (Reddy) Carey, her husband of 64 years, Richard, children Margaret (“Marie”), Katherine, Melanie, Helen and Robert, and siblings Mary Turner, James Carey, John Carey and Helen O’Malley. She is survived by her children Laura (Donald) DuPont-Perreault, Shutesbury, MA; Paula DuPont, Abington, PA; Valerie DuPont, Elkins Park, PA, and Richard (Minna) DuPont, Huntington Valley, PA, and grandchildren Michael-Paul Kidd, Gabrielle (Peter) Ramon, Griffin Kidd, Alivia DuPont, Noelle DuPont, Helen DuPont and Robert DuPont, and great-grandchildren, Branden Ramon, Julia Ramon and Raven-Grey Ramon. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Thursday 9:00 AM at St. Christopher Church 13301 Proctor Rd. Phila., PA 19116. Funeral Mass 11:00 AM. Interment will take place January 26 at 11 Am in Notre Dame Cemetery South Hadley, MA.
