Obituary of Marjorie L. Owens

Marjorie L. Owens (Marcen, Cashin), [nee Bradley], passed away on October 3, 2021 at the age 86 in Dover, Delaware. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021 at Nativity B.V.M. Church, 2535 E. Allegheny Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19134. Viewing begins at 10:30 am followed by a Catholic Mass at 11:30 am. Burial is immediately following at West Laurel Hill Cemetery, 22 Belmont Avenue, Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, 19004. Marjorie was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Eugene Bradley and Ella (Hunt) Bradley on April 6, 1935. Her children and family were the purpose and focus of her life. She possessed amazing strength, wisdom, compassion, determination, and most of all, love which knew no bounds. She instilled all these qualities in her children, who she cherished with all her heart. She found peace and tranquility in early morning walks on the beach with her coffee, walking in falling snow to be present with the purity of nature while creating the first footprints in the crisp white snow, and tending to her outdoor garden oasis for wildlife to visit -- especially hummingbirds. She is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Owens, children Ronald C. Marcen (Karen); Thomas P. Cashin (Pamela); Steven E. Cashin (Deborah); Diane L. Cashin, Kathleen (Cashin) Johnson-Friendly (Joel); Thomas J. Owens, Jr. (Marlene); John G. Owens (Elaine); Catherine A. Owens; Elizabeth J. Owens (Matthew); Scot P. Owens (Christin); 27 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters Jean Gochenaur; Patricia Quinlan; Dorothy Boring (James); Carol Lott; and brother Paul Bradley (Loretta). She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Adonna J. (Marcen) Schultz (Thomas), and her son Michael D. Cashin (Ann).
