Of Somerton, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 13th,2021.
Beloved husband of Joan E. Merrill Carlin. Devoted Son of Charles F. Carlin Jr. and Dorothy Franks Carlin. Raised in Port Richmond, graduate of North Catholic and Penn State University. Beloved Father of Charles F. Carlin IV. (Helene), Kate Malizia (Steve) and Mary Carlin. Grandfather (Gree) to Jackson and Summer Mary Malizia. Brother to Carol Musial (Joe), brother-in-law to Flossy and Ron Whetstone, Ed Merrill, Ken Koach (Wai-Ling). Uncle to nephews, nieces and grand nieces.
Proud member of Local 1034 executive board and shop steward through Pathmark for 35 years. Last worked at Frankford Pathmark in Holmesburg. Worked for the State of PA and the City Controller’s office under Jonathan A. Saidel. Later, legislative aide to State Representatives Mike O’Brien and Mary Isaacson. Devoted parishioner at St. Christopher’s for over 40 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Friday Evening Sept. 17 th
from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Malloy Funeral Home 625 Byberry Rd. Phila., PA 19116. (Masks Required). Funeral Mass Saturday Sept. 18th 10:00 AM at St. Christopher Church 13301 Proctor Rd. Phila., PA 19116 (no morning viewing). Interment William Penn Cemetery.
