N E W M A N Edward G. III on October 11, 2020. Devoted Dad of Jacqueline Marafioti (Robert), Edward F. Newman, Julianne Jackson (Grant) and Katelyn Newman. Pop-Pop of Grant Jackson Jr., Lucas Vardaro, Robert Marafioti, Nicholas Marafioti and Wyatt Jackson. Loving son of Eileen (nee McILhenny) and the late Edward G. Jr. Former husband of Charlotte (nee Janda). Ed graduated from St. Bartholomew Grade School and North Catholic High School class of 1978; where he lettered in Baseball and Football. He later played semi pro football for the Frankford Yellowjackets. He spent many happy years at his grandmoms' house on Stella St. in Kensington and his summers in Wildwood, NJ. Ed was an avid eagles fan. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Friday October 16th 7:00 PM till 9:00 PM and Saturday October 17 th from 8:30 AM till 9:30 AM at the Reilly Rakowski Funeral Home 2632-34 E. Allegheny Ave. Phila., PA 19134. Funeral Mass 10:30 AM at St. Bartholomew Church 5600 Jackson St. Phila., PA 19124. (PLEASE USE THE REAR ENTRANCE OF THE CHURCH). Interment Private.
