On Friday, August 14, 2020, Mrs. Mary Ann Susan Clark, loving mother of three children, passed away at the age of 91 years in Philadelphia, PA of natural causes. Mary Ann (“Ma, Granny, Bubba”) was born on December 25, 1928 in Shenandoah, PA as a special Christmas present to Anthony and Susan (Ondusko) Brozosky. She was preceded in death by her five siblings, Clara Fiedzuk, Dorothy Yanofchick, Thomas Brozosky, Theresa Baratone, and Anthony Brozosky. Mary Ann served in the United States Women’s Army Corps (WAC) as a Corporal in Germany during the Korean War era. She was living at the Delaware Valley Veterans Home in Philly under their compassionate care for the last years of her life. She resided in Northeast Philadelphia for over 53 years. Mary Ann is survived by her three children, Katherine Patten, Christine Walsh, and Walter Clark. She is the grandmother of eleven grandchildren: John Hennessey, Roger Walsh, Normy Patten, Christopher Patten, Keeley Patten, Emma Patten, Kristen Clark, George Clark, Riley Walsh, Marney Patten and Madeline Clark. She was a welcoming mother-in-law to Sarah (Garomon) Clark, Thomas Walsh and Jay Platt. Unfortunately, Mary Ann was made a young widow after losing her beloved husband, George Palmer Clark (US Army WWII) in 1975. She raised her three young children, Katy, Chrissy, and Wally on her own with exceptional care and devotion. She was known for her perseverance, her wit, her talent for crossword puzzles, and her astonishing skill at Jeopardy. She was a dedicated reader and she filled her house with books! Aunt Mary Ann has very many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly including Michael, Thomas, Annie & Dorothy Brozosky; Diane Bruno, Barbara Ann Donnelley, and Anthony Brozosky; Sony & Frankie Fiedziuk, Linda Baughman, and Lisa Valerio; and Daniel and Stanley Yanofchick. She is also survived by her cousin, Betty (Brozosky) Jellen. A funeral mass will be held for Mary Ann on Tuesday, August 25 at 11 am at St. Adalbert Church at 2645 E.
