Janet is the little girl in front beside daddy Easter 1957.
Janet had this quiet strength about her. She was quiet and didn't really say too much. Kind of reminded me of Grandmom Anderson. You had better listen. When she put her mind to things she was quite determined. One could even say stubborn. I prefer to call it strength. I admired her for that. I was in awe of her independence, fighting up until the very end. She had to be persuaded to stop working in spite of her diagnosis.
She was fiercely protective of her children and loved them deeply. A mother bear would have to take a second seat to Janet when it came to her children.
There is little consolation in the words "She is at peace" when Janet is no longer with us physically. Nothing can replace that presence. We will have to be content with holding her in our hearts and remembering.
