Obituary of John Robinson

R O B I N S O N John (Jack) Robinson age 82 passed away suddenly on April 24, 2020. Born in Philadelphia, Jack was a 1956 graduate of North Catholic High School, where he was a standout baseball player. Jack met his wife, Judy, in the Rising Sun Bugle Corps in 1954. He joined the military in 1957, served 3 years where he was a proud member of the 82nd Airborne Division. He loved music and played drums with a small band in the 1960’s. He loved doing the mummer strut. Jack’s passion was bowling and he was proud of his multiple 300 games. He loved baseball, teaching his boys and grandsons the right way to play. He was filled with pride while attending all of his grandchildren’s baseball, softball, soccer, volleyball games and swim meets. His favorite thing was spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, dog Holly and relaxing on his float in his backyard pool. Jack is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Judy; his loving children Scott (Karen), Keith (Megan), Carole, Joanie (Joe) and Beth; dear grandchildren Michael (Billy), Sean (Victoria), Megan, Taylor, Danielle, Maria, Paul, Erica, Matthew, Thomas, Joey, Travis, Skylar, and Cooper; great grandson Robert; his siblings, Jerry (Carol) and Joe; cousin Barbara Jean and many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation June 24th Wednesday 9:00 AM at St. Christopher Church 13301 Proctor Rd. Phila., Pa 19116. Funeral Mass 11:00 AM. Interment Private.
